Hi, My name is Kevin Domingue. I am a healer and a coach.
As a healer, I help clients with issues that have manifested physically, emotionally, mentally and/or spiritually from experiences in the present or in the distant past. Wanting to find a way to help them to continue their healed journey into the future, I added coaching to my repertoire.
I am a Whole Person® coach and am also Trauma-Informed. I hold space to help clients settle in to “how to be” so that they can discover their true selves, and discover their unique path to moving forward no matter what their path may be, or what may be holding them back.
I am part of the C-suite of my engineering firm, and have been in the business world for over 40 years, with a broad range of life experience in many areas. I have some snippets below that you can click on to explore more…
How amazing we humans are! An interesting and sometimes messy mixture of thoughts, emotions, feelings, and energy all wrapped up (sometimes a bit tightly) in this skin of ours. I believe that healing means to become whole, and part of my life’s work is to help people heal from their experiences that they have not yet digested. I approach my coaching like I approach my healing – that there is an energetic component to this human-ness of ours. The North American Nursing Diagnosis Association has a clinical diagnosis of “Imbalanced Energy Field”, and I like to think that Balance is one of the things that I help my clients find.
Whole Person Coaching® is a coaching style developed by Feroshia Knight, MA, MCC who is a CHANGE MASTER!
This style of coaching blends Interpersonal Neurobiology (Daniel J. Siegel, M.D.), Positive Psychology (Martin Seligman), Neuro Linguistic Programing (NLP, Richard Bandler and John Grinder), Narrative Psychology (Theodore R. Sarbin), Emotional Intelligence (Daniel Goleman) ,and more.
If you are interested in learning more about this particular style of coaching to see if it resonates with you, check out her webpage here that goes into more detail. I’m confident that it will help you to know the place that I come from when coaching my clients.
I am currently studying Massage Therapy at the Louisiana Institue of Massage Therapy, and am taking on clients on a limited basis for free massages.
“Your days are numbered. Use them to throw open the windows of your soul to the sun. If you do not, the sun will soon set, and you with it.” ― Marcus Aurelius
I understand that our mortality is precious and limited, and work with clients who are interested in that conversation. It’s what we do with the time we have that matters, and that we are the ones who get to choose what that looks like moving forward. It is NEVER too late to make that choice…
“Let me respectfully remind you
Life and death are of supreme importance
Time swiftly passes by and opportunity is lost
Each of us should strive to awaken, awaken
Take heed, this night your days are diminished by one
Do not squander your life.”
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” – African proverb
I believe in People Power and the healing power of supportive partnerships in service to others. When The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation of Louisiana announced a major grant opportunity, I helped to start the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette Foundation and then assemble a partnership of over twenty nonprofits to work together and create the Healthy Living Club and direct $2.5M towards curbing childhood obesity. Nonprofit partnerships like that are neither common, simple, or easy.
Similarly, the coaching process is a CONSCIOUS COLLABORATION between a client and coach, and that I why I love it!
I believe that people go into Engineering for two reasons:
- To solve problems.
- To help people.
And ever since I was young, I have loved solving problems. My favorite toys were simple wooden building blocks, and that led to studying structural engineering and becoming a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana.
Little did I know that many years later the building blocks that would fascinate me and resonate with me would be the building blocks of our life’s experiences and how we integrate and arrange them to make ourselves a solid and flexible structure, standing on a firm and grounded foundation.
When the unstoppable and sometimes unpredictable forces of nature come, the structures designed to bend and flow in harmony with the trembling and unexpected upheavals are the ones that best weather the storm.
As an owner and part of the C-suite of my engineering firm, I have a great deal of executive experience. That helps me when I coach my executive clients who need to work with me on business topics. (It is also quite helpful whenever the topic that we work on is work/life balance – I am ALL ABOUT balance!)
